New Professional Diploma in Sustainable Finance Reporting & Disclosures Announced

Sustainable Finance Skillnet and IOB are pleased to announce the introduction of an innovative Professional Diploma in Sustainable Finance Reporting and Disclosures. 

Supported by Skillnet Ireland, this cutting-edge qualification aims to empower professionals working in finance, reporting, and assurance functions within the financial services industry to take the lead in ESG regulatory reporting and disclosure activities. As professionals seek to meet regulatory requirements and as the implementation of new mandatory EU
sustainable finance reporting obligations approaches, it is crucial for the industry to be well-prepared. The launch of this diploma directly addresses the need for talent in this rapidly evolving field, further solidifying Ireland’s position as a leading
hub for sustainable finance.

Developed and delivered by academic and industry experts specialising in ESG reporting, the diploma will offer a comprehensive curriculum. Notably, we are excited to announce that David Carlin, an international climate governance
expert, will serve as the faculty lead for the programme.

Carlin is at the helm of the Task Force in Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) programme for the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP-FI). David is also the founder of Cambium Global Solutions, an advisor to governments, corporates, and financial institutions on climate and sustainability. He has authored numerous
reports that provide practical tools and guidance to firms looking to thrive in a changing world.

An online launch event for the programme took place on Wednesday, 26 July at 11am with faculty lead David Carlin. The event will provided an overview of the programme curriculum and key content. 

The start date for this programme will be 2 October 2023.
