New Release: The Nature of Finance

Assessing the nature related risks and opportunities for the Irish Finance Sector.

Welcome to the International Sustainable Finance Centre of Excellence, headquartered in Dublin, Ireland

Establishing a sustainable financial system is not just a necessity now; it’s a strategic move towards a thriving, prosperous society with reduced emissions. Our vision is of a  transformed economy for a sustainable world.

And at the core of Ireland’s path towards a low carbon, inclusive, and just economy lies the driving force of finance. The International Sustainable Finance Centre of Excellence (ISFCOE) is an output of Ireland’s first national Sustainable Finance Roadmap with members across the Irish and global financial services sector. Through knowledge sharing, training, and research activities, the Centre seeks to accelerate the mobilisation of capital and financing in support of Ireland’s net zero, nature positive and just economic transition.

To achieve that we aim to drive the mobilisation of capital in support of a net zero, nature positive and just economic transition. We serve as a catalyst in ensuring that financial resources are mobilised in support of this transformation.  We are the place where people tasked with sustainable finance objectives come for the solutions to their questions:

  • What does my organisation/sector need to do?
  • How might we do it?
  • What support and services are available to us?
  • What research/standards/toolkits can we avail of?
  • Who else can I work with? And,
  • How do I report on progress?
